Day 1 :
Arrival in Guwahati – Transfer to Kaziranga

Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, begin your journey towards Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for the one-horned rhinoceros. The scenic drive takes about 5-6 hours. On arrival, check in to your hotel or resort and relax. In the evening, you can visit the Kaziranga Orchid Park, which showcases the diverse flora and cultural performances of Assam. Enjoy a traditional Assamese dinner and stay overnight in Kaziranga.
Kaziranga Orchid Park:
Kaziranga Orchid Park is a cultural and ecological attraction near Kaziranga National Park. It houses over 500 species of orchids, showcasing the rich biodiversity of Northeast India. The park also features a bamboo garden, medicinal plants, and traditional Assamese huts. Visitors can enjoy folk dance performances and learn about Assam’s indigenous heritage. Day 2 :
Kaziranga Safari – Transfer to Shillong

Early in the morning, after breakfast, start your day with an exciting Jeep or Elephant Safari in the Central or Western Range of Kaziranga, where you might spot rhinos, wild elephants, deer, and exotic birds. After the safari, return to your hotel for breakfast and relax. Later, you can explore nearby tea gardens before departing for Shillong. The 6-7 hour drive offers beautiful landscapes and rolling hills. En route, stop at the stunning Umiam Lake, a perfect spot for photography. Upon reaching Shillong, check in to your hotel and overnight stay in Shillong.
Umiam Lake:
Umiam Lake is a serene, man-made reservoir located near Shillong in Meghalaya. It was created as part of a hydroelectric project on the Umiam River in the 1960s. The lake is surrounded by lush green hills, making it a popular spot for boating, kayaking, and photography. The sunset view over the lake is particularly breathtaking. Western Range of Kaziranga:

Early in the morning, after breakfast, begin your Shillong exploration with a visit to Shillong Peak, offering panoramic views of the city. Next, head to the picturesque Elephant Falls before exploring the Don Bosco Museum, which provides insights into Northeast India’s diverse cultures. Continue to Ward’s Lake, a serene spot in the heart of the city, followed by a visit to the Cathedral of Mary Help of Christians. In the evening, explore Police Bazaar, a vibrant shopping and food hub. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Shillong.
Shillong Peak:
Shillong Peak is the highest point in Shillong, offering a panoramic view of the city and surrounding hills. Located at an altitude of 1,965 meters, it is a popular tourist attraction. On clear days, one can see the Bangladesh plains in the distance. The site is maintained by the Indian Air Force, and visitors may need to register before entry. It is best visited in the morning or evening for spectacular views.
Don Bosco Museum:

Day 4 :
Shillong to Guwahati via Cherrapunji (Optional Detour)

Early in the morning, after breakfast, check from the hotel and leave for Cherrapunji (Sohra), one of the wettest places on Earth, just 2 hours from Shillong. Visit the breathtaking Nohkalikai Falls, India’s tallest plunge waterfall, followed by a walk through the fascinating Mawsmai and Arwah Caves. Stop by the Seven Sisters Falls and Dainthlen Falls for more scenic beauty. After lunch, embark on a 5-6 hour drive to Guwahati. Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and relax. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Nohkalikai Falls:
Nohkalikai Falls, at 340 meters, is India’s tallest plunge waterfall. Located in Cherrapunji (Sohra), Meghalaya, it is fed by rainwater, making it seasonal yet stunning year-round. The waterfall is named after a tragic local legend about a woman named Likai. The viewpoint offers breathtaking views of the cascading water against the lush green valley. Best visited post-monsoon, the site also has local stalls selling souvenirs and snacks.
Seven Sisters Falls:
Seven Sisters Falls, also known as Nohsngithiang Falls, is a seven-segmented waterfall in Meghalaya. It cascades down the limestone cliffs of the Khasi Hills from a height of 315 meters. Day 5 :
Exploring Guwahati – The Gateway to Northeast India

Early in the morning, after breakfast, start your day with a visit to the famous Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered Shakti Peethas. Next, take a ferry ride to Umananda Island Temple, located on the world’s smallest inhabited river island. Continue to the Assam State Museum or Srimanta Sankardev Kalakshetra to learn about Assam’s cultural heritage. Later, visit the Navagraha Temple, known as the temple of nine celestial bodies. Spend your evening shopping at Fancy Bazaar or Pan Bazaar, known for Assam silk and handicrafts. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Guwahati.
Kamakhya Temple:
Kamakhya Temple is one of the most revered Shakti Peethas in India, located in Guwahati, Assam. Dedicated to Goddess Kamakhya, it is a center of Tantric worship and spiritual devotion. The temple is especially famous for the Ambubachi Mela, an annual festival celebrating fertility. The architecture features unique dome-shaped structures and intricate carvings. Devotees from across India visit for blessings, especially for marital and fertility-related wishes.
Navagraha Temple:
Navagraha Temple, also known as the Temple of Nine Planets, is located on Chitrasal Hill in Guwahati. It is dedicated to the nine celestial bodies of Hindu astrology—Surya, Chandra, Mangala, Budha, Guru, Shukra, Shani, Rahu, and Ketu. The temple features nine Shivalingas, each representing a celestial body, covered with colored cloths. It is an important pilgrimage site for those seeking astrological remedies and blessings. Day 6 :
Departure from Guwahati

On the final day, depending on your flight or train schedule, you may visit the Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary, famous for its high density of one-horned rhinos. If time permits, explore more local markets for souvenirs. Finally,check out from the hotel and proceed to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your departure, concluding your incredible journey through Assam and Meghalaya.

The menus are pre-set menus provided for breakfast/lunch/dinner on the tour as mentioned under each Tour itinerary and inclusions and exclusions as committed at the time of confirmation.
In standard/Budget category of hotels, the meals preferences are veg meals unless specified and in Deluxe/Super Deluxe and Luxury category of hotels/resort the meals are a mixture of veg and non-veg preferences.
Mostly buffet meals are served during the tour, but depending upon the less occupancy and group size Ala Carte meals may be served by the hotels. No claim can be made for the meal which guest has missed and not utilized.
📅 ITINERARY CHANGES:
For the comfort and convenience of guests, there could be some changes or amendments in the itinerary. We will try to advise you of these amendments prior to the start of the tour or on tour. In the event a guest misses any part of the sightseeing tour or any such tour due to delay on their part, they will not be entitled to claim a refund of the same.
The timings mentioned in the day schedule in the itinerary may vary depending upon the road conditions, particular destination visits en route, meals, climatic conditions, particular health conditions of the guests, and timings of sightseeing places and monuments.
🚌 TRANSPORT:
We normally use A/C Sedan such as Etios/Desire Innova/Crysta/Tempo Travellers/2X2 A/C Coaches for our tours depending upon the group size and preferences of the travel. The drivers of the vehicles are bound by specific rules like maximum driving hours within a day, rest period per day, etc. Clients will have to strictly adhere to the prescribed timetable for the day so that the driver can complete the travel. In case any of the sightseeing schedules are missed due to delays caused by the client, the same will not be refunded to the client under any circumstances.
