Itinerary
Day 1 :
Arrival in Gangtok
Gangtok
Arrive at Bagdogra Airport or Siliguri Railway Station and drive to Gangtok. Enjoy the scenic drive through winding roads, passing by lush greenery and hills. Upon arrival, check in at your hotel in Gangtok. In the evening, explore MG Road, the heart of the city, known for its vibrant shopping streets, local delicacies, and bustling atmosphere. Visit Enchey Monastery for a peaceful retreat and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. Return to your hotel for an overnight stay in Gangtok.
Enchey Monastery:
Enchey Monastery is a prominent Buddhist monastery located in Gangtok, Sikkim, at an altitude of around 5,500 feet. The name "Enchey" translates to "the solitary temple" in Tibetan, reflecting its tranquil setting. Built in the early 20th century (1909), the monastery is dedicated to Guru Padmasambhava, an influential figure in Tibetan Buddhism, and Avolokiteshvara, the Buddha of compassion. The monastery is famous for its distinctive architectural style, featuring traditional Tibetan design with colourful murals, prayer wheels, and statues.
Day 2 :
Tsomgo Lake – Yak Safari and Trekking

In the morning after breakfast and drive to Tsomgo Lake, situated at an altitude of 12,400 feet. The lake is a serene, high-altitude water body surrounded by snow-capped peaks. You can enjoy a Yak safari around the lake to capture the breathtaking views. For adventure enthusiasts, a short trek to the nearby Baba Mandir, dedicated to a revered saint, can also be arranged. After exploring, return to Gangtok in the afternoon exploring the local markets before an overnight stay in Gangtok.
Tsomgo Lake:
Tsomgo Lake, also known as Changu Lake, is a high-altitude glacial lake located about 40 km from Gangtok, Sikkim, at an altitude of approximately 12,400 feet. It is a popular tourist destination due to its stunning beauty and serene surroundings. The lake is surrounded by snow-capped mountains and is a prime spot for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. Tsomgo Lake is considered sacred by the locals and is an important site for Buddhist rituals. The lake is frozen during winter months, but in summer, it comes alive with vibrant alpine flowers and is home to various species of migratory birds.
Day 3 :
Gangtok to Yuksom (Base for Goechala Trek)

In the morning after breakfast, check out from your hotel in Gangtok after breakfast and embark on a drive to Yuksom, the base camp for the Goechala Trek. The scenic drive takes you through the foothills of the Himalayas, passing by dense forests and charming villages. Upon arrival, check in at your trek base camp or Hotel in Yuksom. Spend the evening resting and preparing for the trek. You can enjoy a leisurely walk around the town or relax before the next day's adventure. Stay overnight in Yuksom.
Day 4 :
Yuksom to Bakhim
Bakhim
In the morning after breakfast and start your Goechala Trek. The trek from Yuksom to Bakhim takes you through dense forests of rhododendron, oak, and pine. The trail offers beautiful views of the Kanchenjunga Range, and you’ll pass through serene landscapes with occasional glimpses of the majestic snow peaks. On reaching Bakhim, set up camp. Spend the evening relaxing, surrounded by nature, and enjoy the serenity of the place. Overnight stay in Bakhim.
Goechala Trek:
The Goechala Trek is one of the most popular and challenging trekking routes in Sikkim, offering stunning views of the Kanchenjunga Range, the third-highest mountain in the world. This trek takes you through the pristine wilderness of the Kanchenjunga National Park and offers a unique opportunity to explore alpine meadows, dense rhododendron forests, and breathtaking landscapes. Starting from Yuksom, the base camp for the trek, the journey spans 6-8 days, covering a distance of around 90 kilometers (56 miles). The trek is divided into several stages, each offering distinct views and challenges. Key stops on the trek include Bakhim, Dzongri, and Goechala Pass (the highest point at 16,200 feet).
Day 5 :
Bakhim to Dzongri

In the morning after breakfast, continue your trek to Dzongri, one of the highest points on the trek. As you walk through the lush alpine meadows, you’ll witness spectacular views of snow-capped mountains, including Kanchenjunga, Pandim, and Jannu. Along the way, you’ll encounter stunning rhododendron and oak forests, and you may spot wildlife like red pandas and Himalayan black bears. Upon reaching Dzongri, take a moment to enjoy the panoramic views. Set up camp for the night. Overnight stay in Dzongri.
Day 6 :
Dzongri to Goechala Pass and Return to Dzongri

In the morning after breakfast, begin the challenging trek to Goechala Pass. This is the highlight of the trek, as you reach an altitude of around 16,200 feet, offering unparalleled views of the entire Kanchenjunga Range and several other Himalayan peaks. The summit provides breathtaking panoramic views of glaciers, valleys, and snow-covered peaks. After taking in the magnificent scenery, start your descent back to Dzongri for the night. The trek to the pass is long and challenging, so it's important to be prepared for high-altitude trekking. Return to your camp and stay overnight in Dzongri.
Day 7 :
Trek Back to Yuksom
Yuksom
In the morning after breakfast, begin the descent from Dzongri to Bakhim, and then continue to Yuksom. The descent is relatively easier than the ascent, but you’ll still pass through beautiful landscapes, rhododendron forests, and picturesque villages. Once you arrive back in Yuksom in the evening, take time to relax and rest after the strenuous trek. You can enjoy the evening at leisure or take a walk around the peaceful town. Check-in to your camp or hotel and Overnight stay in Yuksom.
Day 8 :
Yuksom to Gangtok
Gangtok
In the morning after breakfast, check out from your accommodation in Yuksom and drive back to Gangtok. The drive offers beautiful views as you descend the hills and enter the valley. Upon arrival in Gangtok, check in at your hotel for a relaxing afternoon. You can either rest after the long trek or spend some time exploring more of Gangtok, such as visiting Tashi Viewpoint for a great view of Kanchenjunga, or doing some last-minute shopping in the local markets. Return back to your hotel and stay overnight in Gangtok.
Tashi Viewpoint:
Tashi Viewpoint is a popular tourist spot located near Gangtok, Sikkim, offering some of the most stunning panoramic views of the Kanchenjunga Range and the surrounding Himalayan peaks. Situated at an altitude of around 6,000 feet, the viewpoint is a short drive from Gangtok and is known for its breathtaking sunrise and sunset views. From Tashi Viewpoint, visitors can enjoy a spectacular view of the snow-capped peaks of Kanchenjunga, Makalu, and Mount Pandim, along with lush green valleys and picturesque landscapes.
Day 9 :
Departure

In the morning after breakfast, check out from your hotel and drive back to Bagdogra Airport or Siliguri Railway Station for your onward journey.

🍽️ MEALS:
The menus are pre-set menus provided for breakfast/lunch/dinner on the tour as mentioned under each Tour itinerary and inclusions and exclusions as committed at the time of confirmation.
In standard/Budget category of hotels, the meals preferences are veg meals unless specified and in Deluxe/Super Deluxe and Luxury category of hotels/resort the meals are a mixture of veg and non-veg preferences.
Mostly buffet meals are served during the tour, but depending upon the less occupancy and group size Ala Carte meals may be served by the hotels. No claim can be made for the meal which guest has missed and not utilized.
📅 ITINERARY CHANGES:
For the comfort and convenience of guests, there could be some changes or amendments in the itinerary. We will try to advise you of these amendments prior to the start of the tour or on tour. In the event a guest misses any part of the sightseeing tour or any such tour due to delay on their part, they will not be entitled to claim a refund of the same.
The timings mentioned in the day schedule in the itinerary may vary depending upon the road conditions, particular destination visits en route, meals, climatic conditions, particular health conditions of the guests, and timings of sightseeing places and monuments.
🚌 TRANSPORT:
We normally use A/C Sedan such as Etios/Desire Innova/Crysta/Tempo Travellers/2X2 A/C Coaches for our tours depending upon the group size and preferences of the travel. The drivers of the vehicles are bound by specific rules like maximum driving hours within a day, rest period per day, etc. Clients will have to strictly adhere to the prescribed timetable for the day so that the driver can complete the travel. In case any of the sightseeing schedules are missed due to delays caused by the client, the same will not be refunded to the client under any circumstances.
Please note that AC will not work in Hills and no claims to this regard shall be entertained.
