Day 1 :
Arrival in Kohima (Nagaland)

Arrive at Dimapur Airport, the nearest airport to Kohima, and transfer to Kohima, which is approximately a 2.5-hour drive. Upon arrival, check-in to your hotel. In the evening, explore Kohima's local markets and immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage of Nagaland. You’ll have the evening free to visit local attractions and relax. Return back to your hotel and Overnight stay will be in Kohima.
Day 2 :
Kohima to Dzukou Valley – Trekking

In the morning after breakfast , check-out from your hotel and drive towards Dzukou Valley, approximately 1.5–2 hours from Kohima. Upon arrival, check into a hotel. Begin your trekking expedition, which takes you through stunning grasslands, valleys, and diverse flora. Dzukou Valley is known for its lush greenery and panoramic views. Return back to your hotel and Overnight stay will be in Dzukou Valley.
Dzukou Valley:
Dzukou Valley is a picturesque and serene valley located in the northeastern part of India, on the border between the states of Nagaland and Manipur. It is famous for its stunning landscapes, vibrant wildflowers, and rich biodiversity. The valley sits at an altitude of around 2,400 meters (7,900 feet) above sea level and is known for its unique flora, including the Dzukou lily, which blooms in summer. Dzukou Valley offers a popular trekking destination for nature enthusiasts, with scenic views of rolling hills, lush greenery, and clear streams.
Day 3 :
Dzukou Valley Trekking

In the morning after breakfast, continue exploring the valley, trekking to higher points for better views of the surrounding landscapes. Enjoy a nature walk, explore nearby streams, and take photographs of the breathtaking scenery. The evening will be spent relaxing hotel after another day of trekking. Overnight stay will be in Dzukou Valley.
Day 4 :
Dzukou Valley to Mount Saramati

In the morning, check-out and trek back to the base of Dzukou Valley and drive towards Mount Saramati, which takes approximately 5–6 hours. Upon arrival, check in to a base camp near Mount Saramati. Take the afternoon to acclimatize to the high altitude and prepare for the climb. In the evening, a briefing will be conducted about the climb, and gear preparation will be done. Overnight stay will be at Saramati Base Camp.

Mount Saramati is the highest peak in Nagaland, India, standing at an elevation of 3,840 meters (12,598 feet) above sea level. It is located on the border between India and Myanmar, making it a prominent landmark in both countries. The mountain lies within the Purul region of Nagaland and is part of the larger Naga Hills range.Saramati is known for its challenging terrain and scenic beauty, attracting trekkers, adventure enthusiasts, and nature lovers. The area around the mountain is rich in biodiversity, home to a variety of flora and fauna, including rare species of plants and animals. The surrounding forests are often covered in mist, creating an ethereal atmosphere.
Day 5 :
Mount Saramati – Mountain Climbing

In the morning after breakfast, begin your mountain climbing expedition to the summit of Mount Saramati, the highest peak in Nagaland. This is a challenging climb, recommended for experienced trekkers and climbers. Reach the summit and enjoy the stunning panoramic views of Nagaland and Myanmar. You’ll also witness unique alpine flora and fauna. After descending, return to the base camp for rest and relaxation. Overnight stay will be at the Saramati Base Camp.
Day 6 :
Mount Saramati to Kohima

In the morning after breakfast, Check-out from the base camp and drive back to Kohima, which will take approximately 5–6 hours. Upon arrival, explore local attractions such as the Kohima War Cemetery or Naga Heritage Village. In the evening, relax in Kohima, enjoy local cuisine, and explore the markets. Check-in to your hotel and Overnight stay will be in Kohima.
Kohima War Cemetery:
The Kohima War Cemetery is a significant historical site located in Kohima, the capital city of Nagaland, India. It is dedicated to the soldiers who fought and died during the Battle of Kohima in 1944, which was a key battle during World War II between British and Japanese forces. The cemetery is situated on the slopes of a ridge and is part of the larger Kohima War Memorial. The Battle of Kohima was a crucial turning point in the Burma Campaign (also known as the Southeast Asia Campaign), where British and Indian troops, along with other Allied forces, successfully halted the Japanese advance into India.

In the morning after breakfast, check out from your hotel and head to Dimapur Airport for your onward journey, approximately a 2.5-hour drive from Kohima.

🍽️ MEALS:
The menus are pre-set menus provided for breakfast/lunch/dinner on the tour as mentioned under each Tour itinerary and inclusions and exclusions as committed at the time of confirmation.
In standard/Budget category of hotels, the meals preferences are veg meals unless specified and in Deluxe/Super Deluxe and Luxury category of hotels/resort the meals are a mixture of veg and non-veg preferences.
Mostly buffet meals are served during the tour, but depending upon the less occupancy and group size Ala Carte meals may be served by the hotels. No claim can be made for the meal which guest has missed and not utilized.
📅 ITINERARY CHANGES:
For the comfort and convenience of guests, there could be some changes or amendments in the itinerary. We will try to advise you of these amendments prior to the start of the tour or on tour. In the event a guest misses any part of the sightseeing tour or any such tour due to delay on their part, they will not be entitled to claim a refund of the same.
The timings mentioned in the day schedule in the itinerary may vary depending upon the road conditions, particular destination visits en route, meals, climatic conditions, particular health conditions of the guests, and timings of sightseeing places and monuments.
🚌 TRANSPORT:
We normally use A/C Sedan such as Etios/Desire Innova/Crysta/Tempo Travellers/2X2 A/C Coaches for our tours depending upon the group size and preferences of the travel. The drivers of the vehicles are bound by specific rules like maximum driving hours within a day, rest period per day, etc. Clients will have to strictly adhere to the prescribed timetable for the day so that the driver can complete the travel. In case any of the sightseeing schedules are missed due to delays caused by the client, the same will not be refunded to the client under any circumstances.
Please note that AC will not work in Hills and no claims to this regard shall be entertained.
