A cross between Harry Potter's Hogwarts and a Scottish baronial castle, this 1888 pile was the official summer residence of the British viceroys until WWII and the scene of two crucial conferences (1945 and 1946) that essentially sealed the partition of India.

The most common story told about the Scandal Point was that of the Maharaja of Patiala, Bhupinder Singh, eloping with the British Viceroy's daughter in 1892. He was banned by the British from entering Shimla. So, he constructed a summer capital for himself at a small village called Chail.

The Pandoh Dam is an embankment dam on the Beas river in mandi district of Himachal Pradesh,India.Under the Beas Project,the Dam was completed in 1977 and its primary is hydroelectric power generation.
Part of a run of the river power scheme.it diverts the water of the Beas to the southwest through a 38 km long system of tunnels and channels.The water is used for power generation at the Dehar Power House before being discharged into the sultej river,Connecting both rivers.The Power house has an installed capacity of 990 MW.The System diverets 256 cumecs of beas water to the Sultej River.The Project was completed in 1977.
Kullu Valley:
Kullu Valley is a broad open valley in Himachal Pradesh,India,formed by the Beas river between Manali and Larji.This Valley is famous for its temples,beauty and its majestic hills covered with pine and deodar forest and sprawling apple orchards.

Hidimba Devi Temple:
Hidimba Devi temple,locally known as Dhungari Temple,also Known as variously ad the Hadimba temple,is located in Manali,a hill station in the State of Himachal Pradesh in north India.It is an ancient cave temple dedicated to hidimba Devi,wife of Bhima,a figure in the indian epic Mahabharata.
The Temple is surrounded by a cedar forest called Dhungiri Van Vihar at the Food of the Himalayas. The Sanctuary is built over a huge rock jutting out of the ground which was worshiped as an image of the deity.The struture was built in 1553 by Maharaja Bahadur Singh.
Vashisht Village:
Vashisht valley is a quieter and more compact version of Old Manali and a popular travellers’ hang-out. It has numerous rest houses, restaurants, and souvenir shops. The natural elevation offers great views of the lower valleys and the Beas River. However, there is more to Vashist than just the views.
The primary attraction in Vashist is the natural hot water spring. Though there are many in this region, this one is of Hindu mythological significance. Sage Vashist, one of the Seven Great Rishis, and guru of Lord Rama’s Ikshvaku dynasty is believed to have meditated here. The village is named after him. There is a wooden temple, near the hot water spring, that is dedicated to him. The spring is very popular and always crowded. In winter, hot steam rising from the spring while it snows, is a sight worth seeing.
Jogini Falls is a short hike away from the village. This is a set of two falls that drop to about 700 m. In winters they are calm and beautiful, while during the monsoons the waters fall violently.
Manu Temple:
Manu Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Sage Manu, is located in the mesmerizing valley of Manali in Himachal Pradesh, India.
