Mahalakshmi Temple:
Mahalakshmi Temple (also known as Ambabai Mandir) is an important Hindu temple dedicated to Goddess Mahalakshmi, who resides here as Supreme Mother Mahalakshmi and is worshipped by locals as Ambabai. Goddess Mahalakshmi is the consort of Lord Vishnu and it is customary among Hindus to visit Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, Kolhapur Mahalakshmi Temple and Padmavathi Temple as a yatra (pilgrimage). It is believed that visiting these temples as a pilgrimage helps achieve moksha (salvation).
New Palace:
The New Palace located on the Bahvani Mandap-Kasaba Bavda Road was constructed in 1877-84 and has been the residence of Chatrapati Shahu Maharaj. The ground floor of the palace is converted into a museum that houses artifacts belonging to those times when the king ruled and his own possessions. The beautiful palace is built in black polished stone and is an marvelous architectural feat to have been accomplished in that period. Rankala Lake:
The Rankala Lake is a very famous tourist attraction for people from all over the world. A Shakti Peetha is a place where a part of Goddess Sati's body fell after she immolated herself in her father's sacrificial fire. According to legend, Goddess Sati's left arm fell at Tuljapur, where her shrine was established as Goddess Tulja Bhavani. Goddess Tulaja Bhavani, who is also the state goddess of Maharashtra, is believed to go to sleep on the next day of Vijaya Dashami, that is Ekadashi. She would sleep for four days continuously and take rest after performing her duty of protecting people for continuous 361 days in the year.
Narsimha Saraswati Temple:
The Shri Narasimha Saraswati Swami Dattadeva temple is situated at Narsobachi Wad near Kolhapur in Maharashtra. Shri Dattatreya in his Narasimha Saraswati incarnation is believed to have lived here for as long as 12 yearsShri Narsimha Saraswati worked for the upliftment of the poor going about from place to place. Wherever he left his padukas holy sandals behind, those areas became places of worship for the devotees. Narsinhawadi is one of these blessed lands. It is said that Shri Dattadeva himself reigns over this land to help alleviate all kinds of suffering, especially including possesion by spirits, and worldly troubles of his devotees. Thus it is considered to be a jagruts land, a land that is blessed with his presence even today.

Sangli Fort:
Sangli Fort is a historic fort located in the city of Sangli, Maharashtra. Constructed by Shrimant Appasaheb Patwardhan in the early 19th century, the fort is approximately 150 years old. The fort also houses a rare collection of beautiful paintings and master craftsmen's showpieces at the Sangli Museum.

Located in Khidrapur in Kolhapur district at the junction of Maharashtra and Karnataka, Kopeshwar Temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Panchganga River:
The Panchganga River of Maharastra flows through the borders of Kolhapur. It starts from Prayag Sangam (Village: Padali BK., Taluka: Karvir, Dist:Kolhapur). The Panchganga is formed, as has been noted already, by four streams, the Kasari, the Kumbhi, the Tulsi and the Bhogawati. Local tradition believes in an underground stream Saraswati which together with the other four streams make the Panchganga.
