Today, after an early breakfast or packed breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your mountain flight to Simikot – a remote town located in the hilly region of northwestern Nepal. The flight duration is about 45–60 minutes, offering spectacular Himalayan views. Upon arrival at Simikot, check in to a clean, comfortable 4-star equivalent guesthouse. Use the day for acclimatization due to the increased altitude. In the afternoon, visit the local Shiva Mandir, and experience the peaceful spiritual ambiance. Enjoy local food and warm hospitality. After breakfast, board a short helicopter ride from Simikot to Hilsa, located near the Nepal–Tibet border. The flight duration is around 20 minutes. After landing at Hilsa, walk across the suspension bridge over the Karnali River, clear Nepalese exit procedures, and proceed to Chinese immigration. Once formalities are done, you will board a comfortable vehicle and drive to Purang (also called Taklakot) in Tibet. The drive takes around 1–2 hours through mountain roads. Post breakfast, you will start your scenic drive towards Mansarovar Lake, one of the most sacred lakes in Asia, revered in Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism. The journey covers about 2–3 hours through the vast Tibetan plateau with views of Mount Kailash in the distance. Upon arrival at the lake, you will begin the Parikrama (circumambulation) of the lake by vehicle, covering 105 km. This holy lake, located at 4500 meters, is believed to be created by Brahma himself. Today marks the most challenging and spiritual part of the journey. Begin early (before sunrise) to trek over the Dolma La Pass (5550m) – the highest point of the Yatra. The climb is steep and demanding but spiritually rewarding. After reaching the top, you will descend past Gauri Kund, the mythical lake associated with Goddess Parvati.
