The Nagaland tribe warmly celebrates their pageant which is full of vigour and color. More than 60% of the population of Nagaland depends upon agriculture, so the maximum of their festivals revolve around agricultural development.

The Hornbill festival is organized supported by the ministry of tourism, arts, and lifestyle and shows diverse cultures below the roof. This festival, show, and competition is generally held in Kohima from December 1st to 10th once in 12 months.
The Hornbill festival is held inside the Naga heritage village in Kisama, about 12 kilometers away from Kohima. All tribes of Nagaland participate in this pageant. The motive of the pageant is to revive and preserve the wealthy arts and culture of Nagaland people and display its rare traditions.

Hornbill Festival Date Every Year Dates:

Sukhna Lake :
Sukhna Lake is a 3 sq. km rainfed lake created in 1958 by damming the Sukhna Choe, a seasonal stream coming down from Shivalik hills. Sukhna Lake is a sanctuary for many exotic migratory birds like- Siberian Duck, Storks and Cranes during winter month. The Lake is declared National Wetland by Government of India. By using the National Sanitation Foundation Water Quality Index (NSFWQI) and Overall Index of Pollution (OIP), the results of the water quality assessment have found the lake water as having 'good' and 'acceptable' quality respectively based on past seven years' data.
Rock Garden :
The Rock Garden of Chandigarh is a sculpture garden in Chandigarh, India. It is also known as Nek Chand's Rock Garden after its founder Nek Chand, a government official who started the garden secretly in his spare time in 1957. Today it is spread over an area of 40 acres (161874.25 m²). The Rock Garden Chandigarh is a 35 acre eco-friendly garden, built solely by home waste and other Industrial items. Sculptures are created using items such as bangles, ceramic pots, tiles, bottles and Electric waste.
Zakir Hussain Rose Garden :
Established in 1967, there are more than 50,000 rose bushes of 1,600 different species that have been planted in carefully planned and landscaped flower beds. There are pathways lined with blooming roses as well as arches and lawns, which are fragrant with the many flowers on display. It's named after India's former President, Zakir Hussain. Thisbeautiful garden was set up in 1967. The park is spread over 10 acres and exhibits some of rarest and exquisite varieties of rose and is home to 1600 varieties of flowers.

Summer Hills:
Lying at a height of about 2,100 ft above sea level, Summer Hill is one of the seven hills that surround the city of Shimla. Dotted with gorgeous deodar and pine trees, this picturesque suburb is home to Summer Hill, one of the seven hills that ring the city of Shimla. Shimla was built on top of seven hills: Inverarm Hill, Observatory Hill, Prospect Hill, Summer Hill, Bantony Hill, Elysium Hill and Jakhu Hill. The highest point in Shimla is the Jakhu hill, which is at a height of 2,454 metres (8,051 ft). In recent times the city has spread past the initial seven hills.
Jakhoo Hill :
the Jakhoo hill stands at an altitude of 2,500 meters from the sea level and is the highest point in Shimla. The place hosts a 108-foot Hanuman statute, standing tall amidst the deodar trees. You need to climb close to 300 steps to reach the place, which comes after a mild trek. A major tourist attraction, Jakhoo Hill is known for its panoramic brilliance and the famous Jakhoo Temple. It is a Hindu temple that houses a 108-feet-high Hanuman idol, the tallest idol of the vanara (monkey) god in the world.
Green Valley :
The Green Valley is a beautiful and breathtaking mountain range that falls on the way to Kufri from Shimla. The Green Valley is surrounded by verdant hills on all sides covered with thick pine and deodar forests. It is not uncommon to sight some Yaks wandering and grazing around in the valley. The Ridge :

Commonly known as Mahadevi Tirth, Vaishno Devi temple in Kullu is situated on the banks of Beas river. The renowned Vaishno Devi temple is located at a distance of 2 km from the beautiful town of Kullu, right on the way to Manali. This magnificent temple was built in the year 1966 by a saint named Swami Sewak Das Ji Maharaj. The foundation of Mahadevi Tirth was laid in 1962 when Swami Sewak Das ji Maharaj in search of eternal peace came to this place and found Mahadevi's abode in the mountains.

Hadimba Devi Temple :
The Hidimba Devi Temple has intricately carved wooden doors and a 24-meter-tall wooden "shikhar" or tower above the sanctuary. The tower consists of three square roofs covered with timber tiles and a fourth brass cone-shaped roof at the top. The earth goddess Durga forms the theme of the main door carvings. Hidimba and Bhima are one of the most significant parts of the Mahabharata, a mythical story about an epic battle between two families, the Pandavas and their rivals, the Kauravas. It is one of the longest and most complex stories in Hindu mythology and is believed to have been composed between 400 BCE and 200 CE.
Vashisht Village :
Vashisht is a village located 3 km from Manali across the River Beas. This village is famous for its sulphurous hot water springs and sanctified by three main temples dedicated to Lord Vashisht, Lord Shiva and Lord Rama built just next to the springs. A hot water spring known as Vashisht Kund is inside the temple campus. According to the legend the Rishi Vashisht was saddened after knowing that his children were killed by Vishwamitra and tried to commit suicide, but the river refused to kill him. The river was named Vipasha which means ' freedom from bondage'.
Get an adrenaline rush in the adventurous Solang Valley
As the day starts have a quick breakfast and leave your hotel for a drive to explore Solang Valley up to snow line. (Rohtang Pass is closed from December to May due to heavy snowfall). Spend a day with your partner experimenting with adventure activities like Skiing, Horse Riding, Ropeway in Solang Valley, Yak Riding, Paragliding and Zorbing at your own expenses (If available).

Solang Valley :
Solang Valley also known as the 'snow point' is an alluring snow clad utopia near Manali and lies between Solang village and Beas Kund. Situated at an altitude of 8,500 feet above sea level, it offers a spectacular scenery of enchanting glaciers and snow crest mountain peaks. Solang Valley is also called the 'Snow Valley', which is famous among the tourists for its adventure activities hosted there. Some of the adventure sports like skiing, trekking, mountaineering and also paragliding.
Yak Riding :
It is a long 2 km long ride to Dhundi. It offers a delightful journey across the rich green surroundings of the Himachal Valley. It is a pleasant safari ride for the new and inexperienced tourists as well as for the experienced ones. One of the most unique things to do in Kufri is experiencing a Yak ride.
